Privacy Policy

Neptune Industries, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the SteadyTow mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our App.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs
• We do not track your usage behavior or create user profiles
• We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties

On-Device Data

The following data is created and stored locally on your device only:

• Saved load configurations — trailer specs, tow vehicle specs, cargo items, and load layouts you create
• Custom presets — any trailer or cargo presets you save for reuse
• Subscription status — a cached record of your subscription state and trial start date
• App preferences — settings such as terms acceptance and UI hint states

This data is stored in the App's sandboxed storage (UserDefaults and the Documents directory). It never leaves your device and is not accessible to Neptune Industries or any third party. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

NHTSA VIN Decoding

When you enter a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to look up tow vehicle specifications, the App sends the VIN string to the publicly available NHTSA VPIC API (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Product Information Catalog) to decode vehicle specifications. Only the VIN is sent — no personal information, device identifiers, or other data is included in this request. This is the only network call the App makes, aside from Apple's StoreKit for subscription management.

Subscription Data

SteadyTow requires an active subscription or free trial to access the App. Paid subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Neptune Industries does not receive, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or Apple ID details.

The App offers a 7-day free trial that does not require payment information. Trial status is tracked locally on your device.

Data Deletion

You can delete App data in the following ways:

• In-app: Go to Settings > Clear All Cargo to remove all cargo items from the current load
• Full deletion: Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data, including saved loads, presets, tow vehicle configurations, subscription cache, and preferences

Children's Privacy

SteadyTow is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, social media, or tracking services. The only external services used are:

• NHTSA VPIC API — for VIN-based vehicle specification lookups (as described above)
• Apple StoreKit — for subscription purchase and verification (managed by Apple)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
